The Scolytinaefamily creates very significant signs in the wood while growing from grup to beetle and often the attacked tree dies or even worse - the whole forrest dies. Many people naturally see these signs only as signs of damage. I will try to see these very different patterns as lingo like rock carvings or hieroglyphs. I see them as birthstories for the beetles and epitaphs for the trees.I want to create a talking forrest in the room of Spanien 19c. It is a forrest filled with signs ofsignificance. Piles of wood on the flor and high planker up against the walls tell strange stories of a new life born leaving the most beautifull words and letters behind. When you move in the talking forrest, you´ll hear strange sounds from ancient greek and egyptian language. You read the stories, you hear the sounds, but you don´t understand these mentally. You understand them with your senses – your eyes, your ears and your body moving around in the room to get to the stories. Yet you never doubt that what you see and hear is signs with consciousness and significance to them.

WOOD WORMS - 2014

- birthstories and epitaphs

In the Woods  - 2012

This is a Cobbertree. Small pieces of Copper is making beutifull music when the wind blows.

In the Woods - 2012

In the Wood-project I made two largescale pieces of the sky and the sea to put up in a tree bringing blue colours into the all the green stuff.

In the Woods - 2012

In 2012 I created in collaboration with children and adults a huge web of letf-over ropes. The web expanded and finally was so strong that you could climb in and take a nap.

Winddrawings - 2012

Winddrawings is an ongoing project. I want to learn how to read the signs of Nature as the appear during the seasons in the sand of the beaches of Skagen. I feel these stories grow deep in the Nordic Soul.

I collect soil from all over the world – every country – every place – everywhere. I put the soil into small jars of glass with the name af the collector, place of collection and date written upon it. The small jars will eventually pile up in my garden and turn into a gigant sculpture called “Earth”. During the period of creation you can see, touch and contribute to “Earth” in my garden. Later Erth will travel around the world in galleries and Museums. The project ends when all the little jars collected over the years is opened and emtied and mixed together. You can contribute to the Earth project by sending me a small amount of soil in an envelope from your place with your name upon it. You can also help me by spreeding the word to your friends. I will be ever so gratefull, thank you.

Sculture Earth is a Magic ritual
A magic ritual is a ritual made by man with the purpose to transform a piece of daily life
into another, better form of life. The better form of life i defined by the creator after having received inspiration. Theres is no Gods involved. It is a matter only between man and his fellow man. On mans rituals see as an example: Jane Ellen Harrison: Themis - Oxford or Joe Frazer: The Golden Bough.
Sculpture Earth will be the result of a magic ritual bringing all people, who wishes do so, together through mixing a small amount of the soil upon whuch they live with other small amounts of soil from other people. The molecular mixing together make the transformation from single small amount of soil to a big amount of common soil. This symbolizes in a very concrete way - a united world. If I fuck with it - I fuck myself and all those peole I love and care for. But also the other way around: All contributing to this common Earth will be people loving and caring for each other. It´s a strong ritual!
And a vivid symbol of the will to life.

The Earth Project 2010-2020

In 2009 I participated alongside 100 other artists in a project where we were to decorate the Danish Furniture Designer Arne Jacobsen's famous 7-chair. The chairs were sold during an auction in benefit of Africa on national Danish television. My contribution was a chair covered in puzzle pieces.
